FAQ
Questions about the cost calculation.
Where do the salary figures in the calculator come from?
They are indicative figures (median monthly gross, as of September 2026) from public salary reports: including the Hays Romania Salary Guide 2025, PwC PayWell 2025, HelloWorld.rs and Joberty (Serbia), Adecco/LHH (Spain) and StepStone 2026 (Germany). Employer contributions come from the PwC and KPMG Worldwide Tax Summaries 2026. For a reliable figure on your specific role, we will give you the current range in the first call.
How is the Western European benchmark calculated?
The reference is Germany, a representative high-cost market in Western Europe. We take a market-standard German gross salary for the same role and seniority at Frankfurt/Munich level (around 10% above the national median) and add statutory employer costs of about 21% (factor 1.213; about 1.24 fully loaded, including the U2 maternity-pay levy and accident insurance). We compare all-in against all-in, not gross against gross. The comparison is deliberately conservative: we do not include German recruiting, office and equipment costs.
Is the fee linked to the salary level?
No. The monthly fee is a fixed amount per seat, independent of the salary. We pass salary and statutory employer contributions through without a markup.
